About the Program:
Starting from October 2022, the new Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program will be launched in the Department of Nursing and the Department of Speech Therapy at the School of Health Sciences of the University of Peloponnese. The Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program, titled “Care and Support for Children and Adolescents with Special Health Needs in the Community,” aims to provide high-quality education leading to a postgraduate degree in “Care and Support for Children and Adolescents with Special Needs in the Community.” Specifically, its focus is on the training and development of professionals with diverse expertise and specialization in community health services, fully aligning with the objectives and goals of the two departments within the School of Health Sciences at the University of Peloponnese.
This new interdisciplinary postgraduate program is the only one in Greece that concentrates on the care and support of children and adolescents, achieved through collaboration between the Departments of Nursing and Speech Therapy at the University of Peloponnese’s School of Health Sciences.
We emphasize the following:
- General care for children and adolescents with special needs and specific attention to Nursing and Speech Therapy
- Holistic and interdisciplinary approach
- Psycho-social support
- Counseling
- Special education
