Information

  1. The MSc program starts in either the winter or spring semester of each academic year.

  2. To obtain the Master’s Degree (MSc), it is required to successfully complete all courses in the curriculum, successfully conduct the master’s thesis, pay the tuition fees, and accumulate 90 ECTS credits, which are distributed over three (3) semesters.

    Duration of Studies

The duration of study for the Master’s Degree (MSc) is set at three (3) academic semesters, including the time for the thesis. The program starts each winter or spring semester of each academic year. The maximum allowed time to complete the studies is four (4) academic semesters, except for students who have applied for and received the appropriate suspension.

There is an option to extend the duration upon a justified request by the student and approval by the Program Committee, which does not exceed half of the regular duration of the MSc program, i.e., an additional 2 semesters. Specifically, in cases of serious health issues related to the student or a first-degree relative by blood or spouse or a person with whom the student has a cohabitation agreement, an extension beyond the aforementioned limit may be granted.

    Tuition Fees

Postgraduate students are required to pay tuition fees. The total amount of the required tuition fees for the entire program is set at three thousand six hundred (3,600) euros. There is an option for installment payments.

Enrolled students in the MSc program may attend for free if they meet the financial or social criteria and the conditions of excellence in their first cycle of studies, according to the applicable legislation. According to paragraph 2 of Article 86 of Law 4957/2022, the total number of exempt students cannot exceed the number corresponding to thirty percent (30%) of the total number of students enrolled in the MSc program. If the eligible candidates exceed the above percentage, they are selected in order of ranking starting from those with the lowest income.

The application for exemption from tuition fees is submitted by the interested party to the Secretariat of the MSc program after the completion of the student selection process. The examination of applications and the fulfillment of the exemption criteria from tuition fees are carried out by the Program Committee.

The right to exemption from the obligation to pay tuition fees is exclusively provided for attending one (1) Master’s program organized by a higher education institution in Greece. Those receiving a scholarship from another source are not entitled to exemption.

For the implementation of this paragraph, the provisions of the applicable legislation are taken into account.

    Language of Instruction

The language of instruction for the program is Greek, with the possibility of using English in the case of foreign instructors participating.

    Distance Learning

The teaching of courses is conducted entirely through distance learning, both synchronous and asynchronous, at the discretion of the instructor, during the semesters according to the applicable legislation. Part of the program may occasionally be offered in person or in a hybrid format.
